Above all, you are energized by the opportunity to contribute to leading-edge technologies that make a tangible difference in fields such as aerospace, defense, and simulation.What You'll Be Doing:Leading the planning, architecture, and development of full-stack software solutions for advanced simulation and analysis tools supporting the United States Space Force.Coordinating complex design and development activities, including user experience, software design, solution deployment, and system integration.Serving as a technical reference and mentor within the team, fostering best practices and guiding technical reviews.Developing robust, efficient, and scalable code across both front-end and back-end components, ensuring maintainability and performance.Collaborating closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality, mission-critical software solutions.Driving bug verification, release testing, and beta support for multiple concurrent projects.Engaging with strategic customers or partners to assess needs and develop tailored solutions that align with mission objectives.Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies, including Agile practices.The Impact You Will Have:Empowering engineers, analysts, and operators to extract maximum insights from advanced simulation data, directly supporting critical aerospace and defense missions.Accelerating the delivery of innovative space simulation and operational software for the United States Space Force and other government entities.Enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and usability of integrated Ansys simulation tools tailored to customer requirements.Mentoring and developing junior engineers, contributing to a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.Ensuring the security, scalability, and maintainability of solutions deployed in sensitive, mission-critical environments.Driving technical innovation and best practices that set new standards within the Programs and Solutions team and across the organization.What You'll Need:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of experience, MS with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years.Proficiency in C#, Java, Python, and Node.js for back-end development.Expertise in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Typescript, and modern frameworks such as React or Angular.Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and familiarity with W3C Web Components specifications.Strong knowledge of version control systems and Agile development methodologies.Ability and willingness to obtain (or current possession of) DoD TS/SCI Clearances.Preferred: Database and SQL experience, web 3D technologies (WebGL, Three.js, Cesium JS), experience with Ansys STK, AFSIM, or space systems operations.Who You Are:Innovative problem-solver with a collaborative and inclusive mindset.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.Skilled leader and mentor, capable of guiding and inspiring junior developers.Adaptable, proactive, and resilient in the face of technical and project challenges.Mission-driven, with a keen sense of ownership and accountability for project outcomes.Comfortable working remotely and across geographies, with the ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.The Team You'll Be A Part Of:You'll join the Programs and Solutions team at Ansys Government Initiatives Inc., a collaborative group dedicated to integrating and automating commercial simulation software tools for the aerospace and defense market.
