The Program Manager manages the planning, scheduling, implementation, and evaluation of Science programs and courses for the Division of Extended Studies at UC San Diego. Develops new public education programs and manages complex public education programs. Uses project management and communication skills to resolve a wide range of educational program issues and needs. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for delivering courses, presentations and development programs. Receives general instructions and exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for course and instructional improvement. Fully knowledgeable in course subject matter. Additional duties include ongoing course schedule planning, instructor recruiting, student and instructor advising, promotional planning, periodic program and course evaluation and adjustment, and responding to complex programmatic issues. In conjunction with the department director and other stakeholders, participates in long-range strategic planning. Recommends updates to existing course content. Participates in the development of strategic marketing plans and coordinates marketing events. Develops and monitors budgets. The Program Manager may also uses advanced project management and communication skills to work on special projects involving external partners.

Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $60,300 - $103,900 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $28.88 - $49.76 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
