Now, we're entering a new phase of growth and are looking for a Director of Information Security (GRC) to lead PDW's Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) programs, oversee cybersecurity operations, and ensure compliance with defense and aerospace industry standards.

What You'll Do


  • Work with the VP of Information Security to lead PDW's cybersecurity compliance programs, including CMMC Level 2, NIST SP 800-171, NIST CSF, and ISO/IEC 27001.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce GRC frameworks, policies, and control documentation aligned with NIST SP 800-171 and DFARS.
  • Translate strategic goals from the VP of Information Security into actionable technical and compliance initiatives.
  • Manage day-to-day execution of PDW's cybersecurity roadmap, ensuring consistent delivery of documentation, reporting, and risk mitigation milestones.
  • Direct and mentor the Information Security Engineer and other IS team members to ensure alignment with departmental goals, timelines, and standards.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one and team meetings to maintain communication, accountability, and performance alignment.
  • Develop and manage departmental schedules, training plans, and professional development for IS personnel.
  • Oversee cross-functional collaboration with all departments to ensure alignment between GRC activities and technical security controls implemented in the enterprise.
  • Act as a key advisor to the VP on compliance risks, staffing needs, and emerging threats.


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field; or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in IT or Information Security, including at least 3+ years leading teams or managing compliance programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead personnel and projects in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as CISM or CISSP.
  • Experience coordinating internal audits, risk assessments, and external evaluations.
  • Experience with Email, SharePoint, and Teams security in Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred


  • Proven experience leading teams through CMMC readiness and assessment cycles.
  • CMMC CCP/CCA, CISA, CRISC, PMP or other relevant cybersecurity or management certifications.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or unmanned systems industries.


Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, and move about regularly throughout the day and lift / carry up to 25 pounds. Must have manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment as well as computers, keyboards, and phones, as well as IT-specific equipment such as servers, network switches, and cabling. Must be physically capable of installing and maintaining networking hardware in office and lab environments.

Work Environment

This position typically operates in a standard office setting and manufacturing environment. This role requires use of standard office equipment and may involve exposure to server rooms, networking equipment, related peripherals, and may require occasional travel to PDW facilities and test sites. This position may have exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, and non-climate-controlled environments. May require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) depending on the environment. This is a fast-paced work environment and requires cross departmental collaboration with independent and team-based responsibilities. Standard works hours for this position Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional after hours as operational needs demand.
