Position Summary: Senior Clinical Social Worker

Are you ready to make a powerful impact in the lives of patients and their families? As a Senior Clinical Social Worker, you'll be at the forefront of delivering comprehensive psychological, social, and practical support to a dedicated caseload. You'll conduct thorough assessments, identify critical issues, set achievable goals, and implement intervention plans to foster positive outcomes.

Your role will include:



  • Connecting patients with external resources and ensuring seamless coordination of care
  • Acting as a valuable clinical resource in your specialty area
  • Championing departmental and organizational improvements to further enhance patient care
  • Leading and supervising a skilled team of staff members
  • Providing key administrative leadership in the absence of the director
  • Offering mentorship and clinical oversight to colleagues


$5,000 sign-on bonus

Competencies:

Educational Background:



  • Earned MSW degree from an accredited school of social work.


Knowledge and Expertise:



  • Comprehensive understanding of biopsychosocial and cultural elements relevant to clinical social work
  • Familiarity with organizational procedures and objectives
  • Insight into the current healthcare landscape and its implications for practice
  • Proficiency in gathering and synthesizing relevant data to inform patient care
  • Awareness of medical, psychosocial, and community resources related to various illnesses and their impact on social functioning


Core Areas of Expertise:



  • Clinical application of advanced social work knowledge and psychodynamics
  • Coordination of programs tailored to meet patient population needs
  • Strong grasp of leadership and management principles within healthcare settings


Skills:



  • Providing expert consultation on environmental and psychosocial patterns of patients and families
  • Developing and implementing psychosocial plans in collaboration with hospital personnel and community agencies
  • Articulating and sharing biopsychosocial concepts and practices with staff and external stakeholders


As a Senior Clinical Social Worker, you will:



  • Analyze patient needs and develop effective, clinically complex treatment modalities
  • Establish and uphold high clinical social work practice standards
  • Oversee and support social work staff, fostering an environment of growth and development
  • Innovate program responses to meet evolving patient and staff needs


Administrative Responsibilities:



  • Adapt to dynamic healthcare priorities and help staff navigate change
  • Evaluate departmental objectives, staffing patterns, and performance metrics
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and constructive feedback to enhance team performance


Licensure Requirements:



  • Must hold current licensure from the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners at the LCSW or LCSW-C level
  • Considerations for candidates licensed in other states or those with pending applications aligned with Board regulations

Salary Range: Minimum 38.41/hour - Maximum 63.42/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
