This is a UC San Diego Department-Only Internal Recruitment open to UC San Diego HUMAN RESOURCES DEPT Employees Only The Senior People Systems Analyst applies advanced knowledge of HR and timekeeping systems to design, configure, and maintain applications that support workforce administration, payroll, benefits, and related HR processes. As a seasoned professional, the analyst independently performs a full range of responsibilities within the function and possesses an in-depth understanding of business analysis, process improvement, and system design. The incumbent applies established industry-wide practices and organizational policies to resolve moderate to complex issues, demonstrates sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques, and provides guidance to less-experienced analysts. This position collaborates with stakeholders to evaluate business practices and requirements (policies/collective bargaining agreements), develops specifications and system configurations (workflows, if-then analysis, organization structure), and ensures that solutions meet operational and compliance needs. The analyst plays a key role in system upgrades, testing, and implementations, develops training and support materials, manages system access requests, and actively participates in cross-functional initiatives to enhance HR and payroll processes across the organization. QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $79,200 - $143,400 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $37.93 - $68.68 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
