Supply Chain Intern

Green Bay Packaging, Inc. (GBP) is seeking a Purchasing & Materials Management Intern to assist with mill procurement and storeroom operations.

• Manage purchase order acknowledgements
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and develop ordering strategies through placement of product orders
• Resolve internal customer and supplier disputes
• Reconcile receiving and invoice discrepancies
• Build strong vendor relationships through effective communication
• Assist with physical inventory
• Participate in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations and Purchasing meetings
• Participate/lead meetings with vendors and internal stakeholders
• Assist with other purchasing initiatives as required

• Student working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
• Proficient in MS Office Suite of products, especially Excel and Word
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while working independently and efficiently
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize
• Ability to work part-time during the school semester and full time during the summer months

In addition to a competitive wage, the selected candidate will gain supply chain experience in a manufacturing operation. Interns will also have the option to participate in our internship program allowing an opportunity to network with other local interns and tour other GBP facilities.
