Overview

Responsible for leading and managing all aspects of executive protection operations for the organization. This role ensures the safety and security of senior executives and high-profile personnel. The Manager will develop, implement, and oversee security strategies, risk assessments, and operational protocols to mitigate threats and maintain a secure environment for those under protection. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on protective operations, requiring a unique blend of tactical expertise, discretion, and executive presence.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced work, site surveys, route planning, and threat mitigation
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, venue security, and international agencies
  • Maintain readiness and discretion 24/7 in all operational environments
  • Design and implement a scalable Executive Protection strategy aligned with corporate risk posture
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives on physical security, travel safety, and threat intelligence
  • Monitor global events, social media, and open-source intelligence (OSINT) for emerging risks
  • Conduct threat assessments and develop mitigation strategies for executives and key personnel
  • Collaborate with Legal, HR, IT Security, and Facilities to ensure holistic protection
  • Develop and enforce SOPs, emergency response protocols, and travel security standards
  • Manage EP budget, vendor relationships, and security technology procurement
  • Maintain detailed incident reports, travel logs, and performance metrics
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as internal policies
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, ethics, and professionalism
  • Office-based with frequent travel, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Exposure to sensitive and potentially high-risk situations.
  • Must be able to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Prior service in the U.S. Secret Service, NCIS, DSS, FBI, or equivalent federal protective agency
  • Active or recent Law Enforcement Firearms Certification (LEOSA HR-218 preferred)
  • State-specific Personal Protection Specialist (PPS) license (e.g., Virginia DCJS)
  • FEMA ICS 100/200/700/800 or equivalent emergency management training
  • Defensive Tactics and Close Quarters Combat (CQC) certification
  • Non-lethal force training (e.g., OC spray, baton)
  • Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) or Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC)
  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certification (American Red Cross or AHA)
  • Advanced Defensive/Evasive Driving Certification (e.g., Tony Scotti's VDI, ESI, or EPI)
  • Vehicle dynamics and motorcade operations training
  • Behavioral Threat Assessment Certification (e.g., ATAP)
  • OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence) training and digital risk monitoring
  • Workplace Violence Prevention Certification
  • HIPAA and privacy compliance training
  • Proven ability to operate independently and manage complex protection logistics
  • Exceptional judgment, discretion, and interpersonal skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience operating in international environments and coordinating with foreign security services
  • Executive Protection Certification from a recognized institution (e.g., EPI, ISA, GDBA Academy)
  • Active security clearance
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize intelligence into actionable plans
  • Familiarity with security technologies (e.g., GPS tracking, surveillance systems, encrypted comms)
  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Strategic Security and Protection Management, and Global Security & Intelligence Studies

Hours: Office-based with frequent travel, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required (On-site, not hybrid role)
