Medical Billing Collections Specialist Washington DC metro Pay From $23 per hour MUST: The Medical Billing-Collections candidate needs to have the following experience: 4+years of experience in a multi provider medical practice with at least 1 recent year of medical billing and collections experience Comfortable making collection calls to patients Strong experience verifying insurance with various payers including Medicare and Commercial Payers Experience reviewing EOB's and creating Ad-Hoc reports Working with collection agencies Responding to billing inquiries Work with patients to resolve collection and pay off accounts Strong customer service /phone support experience Documenting patient interactions in EMR Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite HS diploma required, Associates preferred DUTIES: Assist patients with medical billing and insurance related questions Verify balances owed Handle patient's collections and make collections calls Handle account research Verify insurance Support Revenue Specialists Adjust patient's balances as approved Record patient's payments Review EOB's and create ad-hoc reports Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
