Are you passionate about supporting others and creating meaningful change every day? Bancroft NeuroRehab is seeking compassionate and motivated Direct Support Professional to join our Adult Day Program in Toms River, NJ.

At Bancroft NeuroRehab, we support adults with brain injuries and neurological conditions as they work toward greater independence, confidence, and community connection. As a DSP, you will be an essential part of each individual's rehabilitation journey-providing hands-on support, encouragement, and care that truly transforms lives.



Responsibilities

    Implement individualized behavioral treatment plans and collect accurate direct observational data in accordance with program requirements.

  • Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, social skill development, meal preparation, money management, and housekeeping.

  • Provide consistent personal care and supervision while actively supporting each individual's growth, independence, and overall quality of life.

  • Teach daily living and functional skills to help individuals achieve personal goals and successfully transition to less restrictive residential settings.

  • Accompany individuals to healthcare appointments, recreational activities, and community outings, providing safe and reliable transportation as needed.

  • Respond to and de-escalate challenging behaviors using approved intervention strategies while adhering to Bancroft's safety standards and crisis management protocols.

  • Complete required documentation and maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with organizational and regulatory guidelines.

  • Maintain effective, professional communication with individuals served, as well as their parents, guardians, and family members, as appropriate.



Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age

High School Diploma or GED

Valid Driver's License in the candidates' legal name and current address. One year minimum

driving experience. License should be in good standing and free of restrictions.

Minimum of six months related work experience OR Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a degree program in Psychology, Social Work, or related field

The current hiring range for this position is: $19.06-$19.44 per hour.
