Surgical Technician Bethesda, MD Pay From: $38 Per Hour MUST: 2+years of experience as a Surgical Tech or First Assist Experience in the orthopedic field Ability to arrange and pass instruments for procedures Experience preparing operating rooms for procedures Ability to maintain and order equipment and supplies for the OR and ensure equipment is working properly Experience cleaning and disinfecting equipment and maintaining a sterile area Training/courses in sterile technique, sterilization of instruments OR Certification as a Surgical Technician or First Assist DUTIES: The Duties of the Surgical Technician or First Assist include but is not limited to the following: Sterilize and set up equipment for the physicians Prepare OR as needed prior to procedures Assist physicians as needed Ensure all supplies and inventory available for surgical procedures Ensure proper functioning of equipment Maintain inventory and make sure working properly Check for outdated items Count and maintain equipment Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
