Building Maintenance Technician - JLLWhat this job involves: Responsible for maintaining and repairing building infrastructure and interior systems to ensure a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing commercial property. This role focuses on structural maintenance, cosmetic repairs, and basic building systems without involvement in mechanical equipment operations. The position supports JLL's commitment to delivering optimal building conditions and client satisfaction while maintaining professional property standards that enhance asset value and operational efficiency. What your day-to-day will look like: * Perform basic repairs and work with subcontractors to ensure work is being completely on a timely manner * Execute and support basic interior and exterior projects * Handle basic building and plumbing maintenance * Perform basic electrical work * Conduct regular building inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards while maintaining accurate work order records * Respond to client maintenance requests Required Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent with 2-4 years of building maintenance experience * Practical knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting techniques * Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively with strong attention to detail * Physical ability to lift 15+ pounds and work on ladders in various building environments * Strong quality workmanship standards with ability to complete projects independently * Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations compliance requirements * Effective communication skills for tenant interaction and property management coordination Preferred Qualifications: * Trade experience in construction or building maintenance fields * Basic electrical or plumbing certifications from recognized institutions * Experience in commercial real estate maintenance and property operations * Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and work order management systems * Knowledge of building envelope systems and weatherproofing techniques * Experience with tenant improvement projects and space modification coordination * Carpentry skills including trim work, shelving installation, and basic framing Location: Savannah, GA Work Shift:Morning Shift This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
