Medical Assistant Part Time

Washington DC and or Chevy Chase MD

Pay From: $20 Per Hour

MUST:

The qualified Medical Assistant must have the following experience:

Flexible to work Monday and Tuesdays (8) hours and 4 hours Wednesday, Thursday or Friday

3+years of experience as a medical assistant

Flexible to work Mondays and Tuesdays and additional days as needed

Registered or Certified is preferred or must have a medical assistant diploma

Strong clinical skills

Knowledge of sterile technique

Insertions and removal of foley catheters

Experience assisting with clinical exams and procedures

Cleaning exam rooms and maintaining and stocking supplies

Strong communications skills and strong clinical knowledge and abilities

Must be able to work in a fast paced environment

Must have strong computer/EMR skills

Scheduling appointments

Obtaining prior authorizations

Handling administrative duties

Answering phones

DUTIES:

Medical assistant will be responsible for the following:

Room patients

Take vitals

Insert and remove foley catheters

Assist with exams and procedures

Enter patient information into EMR system

Keep exam rooms cleaned and stocked

Ensure all related labs and reports are entered into patients charts

Maintain and stock supplies

Sanitize exam rooms

Provide patient education to patients

Obtain pre-authorizations

Schedule procedures

Process prescriptions
