What the job involves: We are currently seeking a Summer Intern to join our Work Dynamics team at LaGuardia Airport in a role combining Business Management System (BMS) Data Analysis and hands-on field technology work. This position offers exposure to both IoT-driven building technology systems and data analytics methodologies while working with cutting-edge airport infrastructure. As a Summer Intern in Work Dynamics Technology and Performance Analytics at JLL, you will: Technology and BMS Focus: Extract and analyze data by pulling Excel reports from ICONICS web-based BMS software, utilizing techniques such as pivot tables, asset matching, and lookups to optimize LaGuardia Airport operations Work directly with our Technology team on field technology work supporting hardware and software issues, level 1 and 2 troubleshooting, testing ethernet and fiber optic cables, and managing server rooms Support management of airport signage, lighting, security systems, and network infrastructure through IoT monitoring and maintenance Proactively identify software issues and drive them towards resolution while collaborating on workflow creation to increase system engagement Conduct comprehensive reviews of airport assets, documenting their positions and providing feedback to enhance user interface and engagement Data Analytics Focus: Learn data analysis methodologies for real estate performance metrics and business intelligence reporting practices Support creation of automated dashboards and reports using data visualization tools to present performance metrics Identify opportunities to streamline data collection and analysis workflows while documenting best practices for performance measurement Additional Responsibilities: Participate in weekly vendor engagement calls and client interface meetings Support change management efforts by managing access lists, tracking accounts, and ensuring documentation accuracy Assist team members in efficiently utilizing various software systems for their specific needs Program Details: Dates: June 1st, 2026 - August 7th, 2026 Location: LaGuardia Airport, Flushing, NY \| In-Person Education, Skills, and Experience: Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree with 2-3 years completed in finance, economics, data analytics, business, engineering, IT, computer science, or related field Strong background in data analysis with understanding of IoT (Internet of Things) concepts and statistical analysis methods Advanced Excel proficiency including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools Familiarity with SQL, R, Python, or similar analytical tools preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented accuracy when working with large datasets and technical systems Ability to work independently, think critically, and manage multiple projects Desire to learn about business management systems, IoT technology, and data analytics methodologies We do not offer relocation assistance or housing for our internship program.
