Job Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION

A GTIMS Specialist ensures the squadron's training and readiness pipeline runs smoothly by managing GTIMS and associated Learning Management Systems (LMS). They maintain accurate training records, administer databases and permissions, troubleshoot system issues, and keep all syllabus and Programmed Flight Training (PFT) data current to support missionready operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Vocational or other post-high school training.

Training and Experience: Experience with aircraft and weapon system training administration. Experience with LMS administration and management. Familiarity with normal government software and hardware. Experience working in a dynamic high stress environment. Ability to prioritize conflicting requests.

General Skills: Must be able to handle multiple tasks, a self-starter, flexible in work assignments, detail oriented, highly organized, possess good interpersonal and written communication skills, and work under limited supervision.

Computer Skills: IAT Level II certification IAW DoD 8140 and AFMAN 17-1303. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Access a plus.

Security Clearance: Current security clearance of "Secret" or above.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain the MQ-9 LMS to maintain accurate and timely training documentation and grade sheet administration.
  • System administrator duties for GTIMS and LMS, assigning Wing level permissions for GTIMS.
  • Ensure GTIMS operates effectively and efficiently.
  • Training database manager, working with GTIMS help desk on rule-based syllabus requirements and prerequisites, assist squadron GTIMS Associates with set-up and configuration of programmed flight training (PFT) classes with student names and applicable data, ensure accuracy and storage of all course grade sheets.
  • Provide GTIMS and LMS user-level assistance and training to instructors, assist GTIMS help desk with install of GTIMS and LMS upgrades, assist with troubleshoot and repair of GTIMS and LMS system, backup of GTIMS and LMS database, repair of GTIMS and LMS student or syllabi database when corrupt, load, and maintain LMS courseware.
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
