Lead a dynamic portfolio advancing access, engagement, and belonging for diverse student communities. This role requires a visible, relational leader who can build trust, navigate complex public-sector dynamics, and champion student-centered strategy in a large R1 environment.
Associate Vice President for Student Affairs & Dean of Students
Oversee the Dean of Students portfolio, including conduct and crisis response, fraternity & sorority life, student organizations, and major campus traditions. This leader will strengthen infrastructure, modernize systems, and define a cohesive vision for Student Affairs.

The Associate Vice President for Student Affairs & Dean of Students (AVP/DoS) serves as a key member of the Vice President for Student Affairs' senior leadership team and is one of the university's most visible student-facing leaders. This role provides strategic direction for student advocacy, care, accountability, engagement, and crisis response.
As Dean of Students, you will lead a comprehensive portfolio that touches nearly every aspect of student life- from student conduct and crisis management to fraternity and sorority life, student engagement, major campus traditions, and student organization support. You will serve as a steady and strategic institutional leader during critical and complex student situations, ensuring responses are timely, coordinated, trauma-informed, and aligned with university values.
This is an opportunity for a seasoned student affairs executive to shape institutional policy, strengthen systems of care and accountability, and elevate the student experience at one of the nation's premier public universities.

Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $185,000 - $210,000, commensurate with experience. Relocation support is available.
