Description:
The Senior Manager, Business Operations serves as a strong cross-functional partner for financial and resourcing planning needs for Clinical Operations, as well direct support for CRO work order and contract modification processes. This role is responsible for reporting, analytics, project management, and coordination required to drive the business to efficient and effective financial and resource management processes.

Summary of Key Responsibilities
* Create accurate, transparent, and timely financial analyses to support Clinical Operations accruals; clearly articulate financial implications from variances between forecast and actuals and provide retrospective analysis as well as drive forward actions for key business stakeholders. Supports Clinical Development Expertise Areas as needed
* Support Clinical Operations budget, forecast and long term planning, decisions, and trade-offs providing expertise and oversight to ensure efficient business outcomes. Supports Clinical Development Expertise Areas as needed
* Complete all required variance analyses for projects. Identify risks in the project forecast and opportunities to improve revenue outlook. Communicate, document and manage these on an ongoing basis.
* Responsible for review of transparency reporting provided by CRO to ensure alignment with operation plan for study
* Review CRO-related contract modifications and change orders in partnership with Clinical Operations, Procurement and Finance. Identify project and budget risks and opportunities to key stakeholders.
* Develop and deliver training to support effective financial management processes throughout the Clinical Operations organization. Supports Clinical Development Expertise Areas as needed
* FMV-process improvement and management of the approval process within Clinical Operations
* Financial Disclosure process improvement and end of study financial recognition
* Produces resource demand forecasting for Clinical Operations; produces demand trends for ongoing studies and supports the resource planning for new studies
* Implement continuous improvement and maintain a focus on value-add services relating to resource planning and financial planning

Key Skills:
* Knowledge of clinical operations process, understand concept of clinical trials Phase I-III
* Strong ability to manage and motivate colleagues in a matrix organization
* Comfort around senior management; effectively represents capabilities of team
* Ability to direct others; provide coaching and guidance to staff
* Ability to understand strategy; business acumen
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills
* Sound interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to present effectively in a variety of settings
* Ability to successfully work in a ('virtual`) team environment

* Ability to identify and address issues proactively in a timely manner

Qualifications
* BA/ BS in Science, Finance or Accounting required, MBA preferred
* Relevant and progressive Finance/Resourcing roles with strong analytical and partnering track record
* Strong experience in Pharma/CRO/Biotech

U.S. Pay Range

$136,000.00 - $184,000.00

The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
