Daikin Applied is seeking a Learning Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our new Solutions & Technical Training Center, oversee our centralized classroom schedule, and own Daikin Learning reporting and learning communications. This role ensures operational excellence across facilities, schedules, systems, analytics, and stakeholder communications-keeping our learner experience seamless and our training engine running at scale. What you will do:

Training Center Operations & Logistics

  • Owns the daily operations of the Solutions & Technical Training Center, ensuring classroom and lab readiness, safety compliance, equipment availability, and an exceptional on-site learner experience
  • Establishes and enforces SOPs for facility access, EHS, room setup/tear-down, badging/visitor management, tool control, shipping/receiving, and asset inventory
  • Manages facility calendars and vendor partners (A/V, facilities, calibration, catering, hospitality), including contracts, POs, and preventive maintenance schedules
  • Oversees budget execution for center operations-materials, consumables, equipment lifecycle, and event logistics-tracking spend vs. plan and cost-per-learner
  • Leads onsite operational support for flagship events (certification academies, product launches, summits), coordinating cross-functional resources to deliver on time and within budget

Scheduling, Systems & Reporting

  • Owns the centralized ILT/VILT classroom schedule across programs, instructors, rooms, labs, kits, and virtual platforms-optimizing utilization and resolving conflicts
  • Publishes a rolling 6-12 month training calendar; manages registration, prerequisites, waitlists, cancellations, and policy compliance to maximize attendance and seat-fill
  • Administers the Daikin Learning ecosystem (LMS/LXP components): catalogs, courses, sessions, curricula, certifications, audiences, notifications, and data hygiene
  • Designs and distributes learning dashboards and reports (enrollment, completions, NPS/CSAT, utilization, no-shows, instructor load, certification status, cost metrics) and turns insights into action
  • Partners with IT/HRIS on integrations, releases, and issue triage (e.g., SSO, SCORM/xAPI tracking, data quality, privacy/compliance), maintaining system uptime and SLA response

Communications, Stakeholders & Strategic Oversight

  • Owns the learning communications plan and editorial calendar-newsletters, program launches, release notes, promotional campaigns, FAQs, and executive updates-ensuring clear, consistent, brand-aligned messaging
  • Develops learner-facing collateral and templates (joining instructions, prework, venue info, policy guides) to streamline the end-to-end learner journey
  • Serves as operations point-of-contact for engineering, product, field service, sales enablement, HR, and vendors-aligning priorities, capacity, and timelines with business objectives
  • Leads continuous improvement using qualitative and quantitative feedback; runs operational cadences, risk reviews, and post-mortems; implements changes that elevate quality and throughput
  • Mentors coordinators/administrators and fosters a high-service culture-coaching on classroom management, systems proficiency, communications, and stakeholder management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Business, Operations, Learning & Development) or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years in learning operations, program/project management, training center/event operations, or related field
  • Proven experience managing training centers or multi-venue operations, including facilities logistics, vendor management, budgets, and EHS practices
  • Demonstrated success owning a centralized training schedule (ILT/VILT), resource allocation, and end-to-end delivery logistics
  • Hands-on administration of LMS/LXP platforms (catalogs, sessions, certifications, audiences, notifications) and virtual delivery tools
  • Ability to design and interpret learning metrics and dashboards; translate insights into operational improvements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences; strong stakeholder management
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail and competing priorities
  • Up to 35% travel required for onsite training center support, events, and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to lift and transport training materials/equipment up to 35 lbs; frequent handling of manuals and supplies
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: PMP/CAPM, Prosci Change Management, ATD (CPTD/APTD), Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt)
  • Experience launching and scaling a training center and/or complex program portfolio across ILT, VILT, and blended delivery
  • Expertise with learning data standards (SCORM/xAPI), reporting/BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), and survey/NPS tools
  • Proficiency with LMS/LXP platforms and related tools (e.g., Cornerstone, SuccessFactors, Docebo; MS Teams/Zoom; Articulate/Adobe for collateral)
  • Demonstrated ability to build SOPs, SLAs, RACIs, and operational cadences; drive standardization and automation
  • Prior collaboration with engineering, product, field service, and sales enablement to align training supply with business demand
  • Experience managing budgets, procurement, and vendor contracts; familiarity with facilities operations and EHS controls
  • Knowledge of HVAC domain and technical training environments is a plus

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from$90,000k - $148,800k and a bonus potential up to 10%. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
