Accountant Richmond, Virginia Pay From: $25.00 per hour MUST: Experienced Accountant Must have at least 1 year of work experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or a finance degree from an accredited school Must have strong experience working on the system Sage Intacct Must have strong attention to detail Must have strong written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of the software Ramp is highly preferred DUTIES: Account will be responsible for, but not limited to the following: Monitoring and recording daily cash activity across all bank accounts Supporting AP/AR processing Preparing and posting routine journal entries Maintaining general ledger integrity Ensuring all components of the month-end closing checklist are completed accurately and on schedule. Recording entries for payroll runs on a bi-weekly basis and benefits entries on a monthly basis, ensuring the coding accuracy therein. Daily cash activities are monitored and recorded across all bank accounts and appropriate action for wires, positive pay, ACH, etc. are processed and/or decisioned timely Work with AP Specialist to execute weekly AP runs, one-off AP runs, and credit card activity as well as coding and interfacing of AP system transactions to the GL Ensure member patient refunds and other manual payments are timely populated into banking websites.
