Arlington, VA Pay From: $22 per hour MUST: Experienced Medical Assistant 2 plus years of Medical Assistant or PCT professional experience 2 years of strong phlebotomy experience Knowledge of common blood tests Computer skills- usage of MS Word and Email. Organizational skills- track inventory, keep records Dependable and reliable Skills in phlebotomy and medical assistance DUTIES: Under direct supervision, assists physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a clinical environment. Take vitals and perform phlebotomy Promotes efficient patient flow and patient care, i.e. exams, and procedures. Performs clinic support tasks including miscellaneous clerical tasks, answering phones, and maintaining physicians schedule Provides assistance to patients in the department. Responsible for coordinating all the functions and activities related to patient access including, but not limited to: front end customer service, accurate and complete patient registration in the approved organization electronic scheduling and billing systems, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, accurate Time-of-Service (TOS) payment processing, and the balancing of all TOS payments using the approved organization electronic scheduling and billing systems.
