Perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties involved in the delivery of employee pension and retirement to Health System personnel. The position requires applying HR policies in the areas of employee pension and retirement, and is responsible for providing customer service responses to inquiries and escalated issues from the Human Resource Solution Center (HRSC) team.

Job Functions



  • Act as a customer service consultant handling more complex issues requiring specialized employee pension and retirement knowledge, escalating cases to senior retirement staff when appropriate.
  • Assist employees in the completion of all necessary forms to enroll in or make changes to JHHS pension and retirement programs.
  • Perform administration activities to support 'core' transaction processing, including, but not limited to, pension and retirement enrollment, qualified status changes, and educational benefits.
  • Identify communication and operational issues arising during day-to-day administration activities/contact with customers and propose solutions to the Human Resource Support Center (HRSC) as appropriate.
  • Assist with group presentations explaining details of specified benefit programs for new hire orientation, along with other educational initiatives.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to HRSC staff, sharing technical and legislative knowledge to ensure staff are up to date.
  • Seek to continuously develop and improve levels of knowledge and expertise, coordinating with the Retirement Director for training as required.
  • Make recommendations for process improvements to continuously improve efficiency and customer service.
  • Provide support to the Retirement Director for projects, including open enrollment, annual benefit statement production, performing research, and other tasks as needed.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Required)
  • One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience, or one year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
  • Less than two years of relevant experience in human resources and/or pension and retirement administration (Required)
  • Knowledge of employee pension and retirement policies and procedures, regulatory legislation such as the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), American Disabilities Act, Internal Revenue Regulations, and ERISA, and understanding of benefit plans and provisions.



Salary Range: $26.51/hour - $43.76/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
