Sales Application Engineer (Level 2, 3 or 4)

Daikin Applied is seeking aSales Applications Engineer (level 2, 3 or 4). In the position, you will provide technical expertise on company products to sales representatives in the selection and application of business unit products to fulfill specific field requirements. In addition, you will implement strategies on how to position the product to effectively compete in the marketplace. You will be required to collaborate effectively with customers while effectively demonstrating value of company product lines. Additionally, depending on your level of experience, you may provide leadership and direction within marketing applications organization. Location:Hybrid - Plymouth, MN

What you will do:

• Provide prompt, accurate support to sales representative inquiries regarding special applications, systems or pricing
• Communicate with customers to evaluate and understand their needs. Assess processes to meet those needs
• Process requests for modifications or options and other general information not covered by published pricing
• Keep informed on new products and competitive models in the marketplace
• Analyze and propose modifications to current products and services to meet customer requirements
• Prepare technical literature for internal and field application
• Conduct product training to sales representatives and customers
• Evaluate and propose improvements of product training processes
• Provide leadership and direction within marketing applications organization

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of Sales Applications Engineering experience (level 3 - 5+ years)
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

• HVAC industry experience (not required for levels 1 and 2)
• Strong drive to grow in your career
• Any previous Sales Applications Engineering experience or technical customer support experience

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from$62,000 - $124,300 in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which these positions fall. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
