Job Title: Physician - ICU Nocturnist Hospitalist Campus: Lankenau Medical Center Employment Type: Full-Time Main Line HealthCare is recruiting an ICU Nocturnist Hospitalist to join our expanding Division of Hospital Medicine. This is an opportunity to practice in a high-acuity, academic ICU environment within a large, mission-driven health system committed to high-quality, patient-centered inpatient care. The role is well-suited for physicians with strong critical care skills who are interested in overnight ICU management, resident education, and collaborative multidisciplinary practice. The successful candidate will have a primary hospital assignment at Lankenau Medical Center, providing overnight ICU coverage in a closed ICU model, while collaborating closely with Internal Medicine resident teams and an on-call Pulmonary/Critical Care fellow. What We Offer Closed ICU model with Pulmonary/Critical Care fellow on-call overnight Defined ICU coverage with strong nursing and ancillary support Meaningful academic teaching and procedural education opportunities with resident teams Comprehensive benefits package Newly increased nocturnist compensation 7 on / 7 off schedule (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; includes holidays) Epic EMR across all campuses Key Responsibilities Provide in-house overnight ICU physician coverage Manage ICU admissions, cross-coverage, and urgent/emergent clinical situations Collaborate with Internal Medicine resident teams and support overall ICU patient flow Lead and respond to Codes, Rapid Responses, and Stroke Alerts Perform or supervise ICU-appropriate procedures within scope of privileges Communicate effectively with nursing, Pulmonary/Critical Care, and multidisciplinary teams Provide bedside teaching, supervision, and mentorship to residents Ensure timely, accurate documentation and billing in Epic Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine Prior hospitalist or ICU experience preferred (Pulmonary/Critical Care or Cardiology fellowship a plus) Eligible for Pennsylvania medical licensure DEA license and ACLS certification required Eligible for ICU privileges and medical staff appointment Strong interest in academic medicine and resident education Comfortable managing ventilated, critically ill patients and emergency responses About Us We believe our people are our most important asset and are committed to a culture grounded in collaboration, respect, and shared purpose.
