            POSITION SUMMARY:

            TheFood Service Worker's primary responsibility is washing all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, andmaintainingthe kitchen area in a clean and orderly fashion.TheFood Service Workerwillassistin putting away deliveries as assigned by the supervisor.In addition, theFood Service Workerwillassistcooks in preparation, andpossibly aidin the actual cooking of meals when needed.TheFood Service Workermay also be asked toassistin the dining room with serving if a need arises.



              ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS



              • Assistsin the set up and break down ofall meals.
              • Washesall dishes as per Eskaton policy.
              • Assiststhe Food ServicesDirectorinvarious administrative capacities asrequested.
              • Maintainsthe cleanliness of thedepartment posted cleaning schedules.
              • Reportsanydamage or problemswith equipmentto the Director of Culinary Experienceand Maintenance.
              • Assistsin thepreparation andserving of mealsas directed by supervisor preferences, likes/dislikes,allergiesand diet orders.
              • KeepsDirector of Culinary Experienceinformed of questions, reactions,commentsor problems that may arise.
              • Assistscook with food preparation and cooking, following recipes and instruction from cook.
              • Helpsserve from steam table line to dining room.
              • Familiarwith food service disaster plan.

              Starting pay ranges from $18.15 Per hour-$22.11 per hour. Factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, job-related skills, internal equity, and market considerations may influence base pay.

              QUALIFICATIONS Education:

              High school graduation or equivalent G.E.D., preferred.








                              Training and Experience:

                              Previousexperience working in a restaurant or food service establishment preferred.California Food Handler.

                              Knowledge and Abilities:

                              Understands the philosophy of quality customer service and customer satisfaction.

                              Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.



                              The final candidate must successfully pass Eskaton's post offer, pre-employment testing which includes a criminal background check, drug test, TB screen test and health screen. All new hires are required to sign an arbitration agreement as a condition of employment.
