Medical Receptionist Administrative Assistant Washington DC Pay From: $21 per hour MUST: The Medical Office Administrative Assistant should have the following: 5+ years of experience working in a high volume multi provider practice site Assisting patients with navigating portal Providing support to patients with various requests Checking in and registering patients Scheduling appointments Providing administrative support to office and providers Reviewing paperwork with patients and ensuring that it is complete Providing patient education Collecting and processing payments Posting payments to patient accounts Documenting and updating patient information in EMR Experience working in a fast paced multi provider office High attention to detail DUTIES: The duties of the Medical Office Administrative Assistant include but are not limited to the following Answer phones Register patients Assist patients with portal navigations Provide administrative assistance to office and providers Provide support with various requests including Durable Medical Equipment requests Schedule appointments and procedures Assist patients with completing paperwork, ensuring all information obtained is complete and accurate. Obtain and scan Patient Photo ID, Insurance Card, Referrals and signed documents Validate patient identity Collect and process payments Resolve outstanding Alerts on pending appointments at the time of patient arrival and ensure that no required information and referrals are missing Update patient Demographic/Insurance Information Enter relevant data, linking to the appropriate appointment/visit and ensure all required data elements are captured. Collects visit copayment, co-insurance, balance on account and self-pay payments Post payments to patients' account Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
