Information Technology Technician

Wage: $23.50 to $27.00 per hour, depending on experience with provable hours or work sample

Essence of Position

The IT specialist position installs, modifies and makes minor repairs to personal computer hardware and software systems, and provides technical advice and support to system users.

Tasks of Position

The following are core and essential responsibilities of this position. Associates are responsible for completing any and all duties assigned as required for the successful operation of our business. All associates are required to perform their job duties in a manner which upholds the integrity and honesty of our company.

• Report for assigned work on time and consistently, ready to deliver quality support and service to the team.

• Manage user accounts, licensing, and configurations within Microsoft 365 environment.

• Administer user accounts and permissions for remote access software, ensuring secure and appropriate access.

• Manage user accounts and settings for company-issued mobile devices.

• Identify, procure, and deploy hardware, software, and peripherals to meet user and business needs.

• Provide on-site support for computer systems and peripherals, including point-of-sale systems, pharmacy systems, voice/phone systems, and general office equipment.

• Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of the scale management network.

• Serve as the internal point of contact and intermediary for third-party vendors supporting network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and equipment repair.

• Connect users to networks and provide initial orientation on systems and applications.

• Provide responsive support to end-users via phone, in-person, and remote channels.

• Keep managers and users informed on issue status and resolution through timely communication.

• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company policies, work rules, and applicable laws and regulations.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience

Two years technical or college education or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Language Skills

Read, analyzes, and interprets general business documents, professional journals, or technical procedures. Writes reports and business correspondence as needed. Presents information and responds to questions from groups of managers, associates, and executive officers. Communicates effectively and pleasantly with all guests, vendors, and associates, under all circumstances.

• Mathematical Skills

Applies concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions and probability to practical situations. Performs mathematical skills using units of American money and weight measurement, volume.

• Reasoning Ability

Applies principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Deals with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, programming code, etc.,) in difficult phases, and with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

This position requires proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and other related software products. Must be flexible, and able to manage and determine priority of work on a self-directed basis.

Physical Demands & Safety Expectations

Most positions within Yoke's require physical effort to varying degrees. As such, associates are expected to be mindful of practicing Yoke's safety standards at all times.
