Surgical Technician Rockville, MD Pay From: $38.00 MUST: 2+years of experience as a Surgical Technician or First Assist Experience assisting on orthopedic procedures Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon Arranging and passing instruments for procedures Experience preparing operating rooms and patients for procedures Ability to maintain and order equipment and supplies for the OR and ensure equipment is working properly Experience cleaning and disinfecting equipment and instruments and maintaining a sterile area EMR documentation Surgical Technician certificate or certification preferred BLS DUTIES: The Duties of the Surgical Technician or First Assist include but is not limited to the following: Sterilize and set up equipment for orthopedic procedures Prepare OR as needed prior to procedures Assist physicians as needed Ensure all supplies and inventory available for surgical procedures Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments Ensure proper functioning of equipment Maintain inventory Check for outdated items Document and update information in patient's EMR Count and maintain tools and equipment Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
