Under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator and study physicians, the Research Nurse will be responsible for administering investigational drugs for psychedelic-assisted therapy, including ketamine and psilocybin, as well as assisting with clinical trials and neuroscientific studies funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and ARPA-H focused on the treatment of addiction and other psychiatric disorders. The incumbent will provide direct clinical nursing care and participant monitoring for these studies. Responsibilities include performing clinical nursing assessments, obtaining medical histories, collecting vital signs and biological specimens, administration and monitoring of investigational treatments (e.g., intramuscular ketamine, psilocybin), performing ECG and other clinical data collection procedures as required by protocol, monitoring participants throughout dosing visits, adverse event management, and administration of rescue medication as needed, and maintenance of research documentation. The position requires close collaboration with investigators, psychiatrists, pharmacists, and research staff to ensure compliance with institutional, state, federal, FDA, DEA, and sponsor requirements. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $138,330 - $193,892 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $66.25 - $92.86 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). | |
