Position Purpose







The Business Process Engineer (BPE) leads process design, standardization, and continuous improvement across the Supply Chain organization.

This role drives measurable improvements in performance, productivity, and process reliability through Lean methodologies and data-driven decision-making.

The BPE partners with operational, clinical, administrative, internal Supply Chain staff and vendors, to identify improvement opportunities and implement scalable solutions.

The role also builds organizational capability through training and by fostering a culture of continuous improvement.











Nature and Scope







The Business Process Engineer (BPE) operates across the Supply Chain organization to lead and drive process improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance, standardization, and scalability.

This role facilitates project-based improvement efforts, including process mapping, root cause analysis, solution design, and implementation of standardized workflows, while leveraging Lean methodologies and data-driven decision-making.

The BPE also identifies opportunities to incorporate technology and automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.

In addition to leading improvement initiatives, the BPE serves as a strategic advisor to Supply Chain leadership, providing insight into process performance, identifying areas of opportunity, and recommending solutions aligned with organizational goals.

The role partners with operational leaders, staff, clinical stakeholders, and vendors to ensure alignment, adoption, and sustainability of process improvements, while supporting training and the development of a continuous improvement culture.

This position operates in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment and requires the ability to influence without direct authority while managing competing priorities in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Minimum Qualifications

Name



Description



Education:



Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform job duties safely and effectively.

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required. Relevant experience in lieu of degree may be considered. Master's degree in a related field preferred.



Experience:



Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in operations, supply chain, or process improvement roles, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional improvement initiatives.

Experience applying Lean methodologies, process mapping, and structured problem-solving approaches required.

Demonstrated ability to analyze process performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement sustainable solutions in a complex, multi-functional environment required.

Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive adoption of process changes across cross-functional teams preferred.

Experience in supply chain operations, logistics, or materials management preferred.

Experience in healthcare operations or multi-site organizations preferred.

Experience delivering training, facilitating workshops, or teaching process improvement concepts preferred.



License(s):



Valid State of Nevada or California driver's license and ability to pass Renown Health's Department of Motor Vehicle Report criteria.



Certification(s):



Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or a related process improvement methodology preferred.

Green Belt or higher certification is strongly preferred.

Additional certifications in project management, change management, or process improvement disciplines are a plus.



Computer / Typing:



Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
