You Are You have spent years building web applications that have to hold up under real user load, not just pass a demo. You know the difference between code that ships and code that scales, and you have learned to make that call early, before it becomes someone else's problem. You move comfortably between Angular components, Node.js services, and Python scripts without losing sight of what you are actually solving for. GenAI coding tools do not intimidate you. You have already been using Copilot or Claude or Cursor, and you know when to trust the suggestion and when to rewrite it. You think in systems, not just features. When you design an API or architect a database schema, you are thinking three months ahead about what breaks if traffic doubles or a new region comes online. You do not wait for perfect specs. You ask the right questions, align with product and design, and start building. Code reviews matter to you, not as a formality but as a place where good ideas get better. Mentoring junior engineers is not a side task, it is part of how you think about your own growth. At Synopsys, you will work on platforms that power semiconductor innovation across a global customer base, and what you build will matter. What You'll Be Doing Build and maintain full stack web applications using Angular, React, Node.js, NestJS, and Python across hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premise data centers and public cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) Use GenAI-based coding tools like Copilot, Claude, or Cursor to accelerate development, improve code quality, and explore new solution patterns Design and optimize RESTful APIs and database schemas to ensure high performance, data integrity, and scalability under production load Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following software engineering best practices, with unit test coverage using Jest, pytest, or similar frameworks Troubleshoot and resolve complex software defects across the full stack, from UI rendering issues to backend service failures Conduct code reviews and provide constructive, specific feedback that helps teammates improve their craft Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver user-centric features on schedule The Impact You Will Have Accelerate the delivery of Synopsys web platforms that serve thousands of global customers and internal users daily Improve the reliability and uptime of mission-critical applications by architecting resilient, scalable infrastructure solutions Drive adoption of GenAI development tools across the engineering organization, raising productivity and code quality standards Shape technical direction and engineering best practices that influence how teams across Synopsys build software Mentor engineers at all levels, building a stronger, more capable team that ships better work faster Enable customers to unlock new capabilities in chip design and verification through high-performance, secure web applications Reduce operational overhead and manual toil by automating deployment pipelines, testing workflows, and service monitoring What You'll Need Strong hands-on experience with front-end frameworks (Angular, React) and back-end technologies (Node.js, NestJS, Python) Proven track record designing, building, and integrating RESTful APIs and managing relational or NoSQL databases in production Understanding of hybrid cloud infrastructure and deployment patterns across Azure, AWS, or GCP Practical experience using GenAI-based coding tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar) to enhance development speed and quality Proficiency with unit testing frameworks like Jest or pytest, and a commitment to writing testable, maintainable code Demonstrated ability to optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability under real-world load Experience working in agile environments with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing, experience with Kubernetes or Docker is a plus Who You Are You can explain a complex architectural tradeoff to a product manager in two sentences without losing the technical nuance You do not just fix bugs, you ask why they happened and what pattern needs to change so they do not happen again You are comfortable saying "I don't know, let me find out" and then actually following through When you review code, you balance critique with coaching, pointing out what could be better and explaining why it matters You thrive in ambiguity, turning vague requirements into concrete technical plans without needing someone to hold your hand You value diverse perspectives and actively create space for quieter voices in design discussions and planning sessions The Team You'll Be Part Of You will join a dynamic, innovative engineering team focused on building world-class software solutions that power Synopsys' global business.
