Western Door Federal isseeking an accomplished Senior Financial Analyst to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Financial Management mission by leveraging Palantir Foundry and advanced analytical techniques to develop decision-ready, audit-ready financial reporting products, reconciliations, dashboards, and management insights. The successful candidate will combine strong financial management knowledge with data analytics expertise to support reporting, reconciliation, audit response, and leadership decision-making activities. This position requires a proactive professional who can translate financial management requirements into meaningful reporting solutions, analyze complex datasets, identify trends and exceptions, and communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess experience using Palantir Foundry to support financial analysis and reporting while maintaining a strong understanding of financial operations, reconciliation processes, and audit readiness requirements. Palantir Foundry experience is required for this position. The successful candidate must possess hands-on experience using Palantir Foundry to support financial reporting, dashboard development, reconciliation activities, analytical products, or decision-support solutions. Candidates without Palantir Foundry experience will not be considered. Roles and Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:
- Support Financial Management Operations: Analyze financial data, reconciliations, reporting requirements, and business processes to support DHA DCFM leadership decision-making and operational objectives.
- Develop Financial Reporting Solutions: Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, visualizations, and analytical products that provide timely, accurate, and actionable financial information to stakeholders.
- Perform Reconciliation and Data Analysis: Conduct financial reconciliations, identify variances and exceptions, validate reporting outputs, and support data quality improvement initiatives.
- Support Audit Readiness Activities: Analyze financial data and supporting documentation to assist audit response efforts, data validation activities, and financial reporting accuracy initiatives.
- Leverage Palantir Foundry for Financial Analysis: Utilize Palantir Foundry tools to create and refine reporting solutions, reconciliation views, exception management workflows, dashboards, and decision-support products that improve visibility into financial operations.
- Translate Business Requirements into Reporting Products: Work closely with financial managers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reporting solutions that support operational and strategic objectives.
- Respond to Leadership Data Requests: Perform ad hoc analyses and develop executive-level reporting products that support emerging requirements and decision-making needs.
- Coordinate Across Functional Teams: Collaborate with financial management personnel, operational stakeholders, and technical teams to resolve reporting issues and improve data visibility.
- Manage and Mentor Analysts: Provide guidance, coaching, quality review, and workload management support to analysts supporting financial reporting and analytical initiatives.
- Communicate Analytical Findings: Present financial analyses, reporting results, reconciliation outcomes, trends, risks, and recommendations to client leadership and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Required: Demonstrated hands-on experience using Palantir Foundry to develop, maintain, or support dashboards, reports, visualizations, Workshop applications, reconciliation views, or analytical products. Experience with other business intelligence or reporting platforms is not a substitute for Palantir Foundry experience.
- Experience using Palantir Foundry to support financial reporting, reconciliation, exception management, audit support, operational reporting, or leadership decision-making.
- Familiarity with financial reconciliation processes, audit response activities, internal controls, financial data validation, or management reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience supporting DHA, DoD, federal financial management, audit readiness, financial improvement, financial reporting, or related mission support initiatives.
- 5+ years of experience supporting financial analysis, financial reporting, reconciliation, budget execution, audit support, business intelligence, or related financial management functions.
- Experience supporting complex financial operations through the analysis, validation, and reporting of financial data.
- Experience translating financial, accounting, reconciliation, or business requirements into reporting solutions, dashboards, analytical products, or decision-support tools.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using data analysis tools to evaluate, reconcile, and report financial information.
- Working knowledge of SQL or similar data-querying tools used to support financial analysis and reporting activities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work products in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience developing executive dashboards, management reports, scorecards, performance metrics, or decision-support products used by leadership.
- Experience leading projects, mentoring junior staff, or coordinating analytical activities across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Experience with data visualization, business intelligence tools, financial analytics, or advanced reporting capabilities.
- Familiarity with healthcare financial management, ERP systems, or large-scale federal financial operations.
