Business Systems Analyst Baltimore, MD (REMOTE) Pay From: $50,000 per year MUST: Experienced Business Systems Analyst 4+ years experience Experience with and understanding of Medicare Claims Knowledge of analysis principles, theories and techniques to solve specific problems and formulate solutions. Experience evaluating complex data and preparing reports of results using SQL. Bachelors Degree DUTIES: Elicit, document, and manage business and functional requirements for a large-scale Medicare claims tracking and reporting system Analyze workflows related to Medicare Fee-for-Service claim selection, medical record requests, medical review, and error rate reporting Support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of web-based portals and data reporting tools used by CMS, Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs), and providers Translate business needs into clear, actionable system specifications for development and QA teams Document requirements for role-based user access, customized menus, and permissions across a multi-tenant web portal (up to 500 concurrent users across 150+ sites) Support the design and maintenance of reporting modules including claims status, appeals, documentation tracking, feedback, and payment adjustment reports Coordinate nightly data refresh schedules, report period updates, and system configuration changes Facilitate web-based training documentation and user support materials for internal and external stakeholders Assist with Privacy Threshold Analyses (PTA) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) in accordance with CMS and HHS policy Contribute to System Security Plans (SSP) by documenting business processes, data flows, and system functionality Support documentation efforts related to FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53, and CMS IS2P2 compliance requirements Assist in tracking Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) items and coordinating remediation activities from a program management perspective Ensure all deliverables and system designs account for the handling of PII, PHI, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Interface with CMS program staff, prime contractor leadership, Medicare Administrative Contractors, and technical teams Participate in status meetings, working sessions, and deliverable reviews Prepare and maintain deliverables in accordance with contract schedules, including monthly status reports and security-related artifacts Support onboarding documentation including non-disclosure agreements and employee roster submissions Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
