Job Details: The Johns Hopkins Hospital Surgical Oncology Unit (Weinberg 4C/D)is a 27 bed unit with a focus on surgical oncology patients. Patients include those who have undergone GI, Head and Neck, and General surgery. This is an acute care level floor, however, the patients require specialized nursing care, assessments, and education. Working on Weinberg 4CD provides Registered Nurses (RNs) with an opportunity to learn new skills such as tracheostomy management, develop time-management, and be a part of a family-oriented multidisciplinary team. Each shift has a charge nurse without a direct care assignment, and on many shifts, there is a clinical mentor nurse from 10:30am to 11:00pm to enhance your learning and development. There is also a virtual nurse role that helps to support this unit. This nurse works in a hybrid location within the hospital, and assists with a variety of tasks including admissions, discharges, and patient education. Qualifications:
