The Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital (JHACH) Division of Anesthesia in St. Petersburg, Florida is recruiting a fellowship-trained pediatric anesthesiologist. This individual will be a member of the JHACH pediatric anesthesia team but will be based at our new Wesley Chapel location (20 miles north of Tampa). We seek a highly qualified, well rounded pediatric anesthesiologist, committed and willing to contribute to the continued evolution of our exceptional pediatric anesthesiology team.



Highlights include:



  • Construction is well underway on a new 56-bed pediatric hospital in Wesley Chapel. The facility, named Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital Wesley Chapel, will provide a wide range of services. The new hospital is expected to open in 2027.
  • Our new pediatric anesthesiologist will focus on the Wesley Chapel location and reside in the region. He/she will not take call at the main campus.
  • JHACH currently has a strong physician presence in Pasco County with additional expansion underway in a number of pediatric specialties.
  • Excellent compensation package, including a $100,000 signing bonus.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Deliver anesthesia care for pediatric patients during surgeries and procedures
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to create individualized anesthesia plans
  • Monitor and manage vital signs to ensure patient safety throughout care
  • Conduct preoperative assessments and educate patients and families
  • Respond promptly to emergencies to stabilize patients
  • Provide post-procedure care and follow-up to support recovery



Qualifications:



  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Anesthesiology.
  • Valid, unrestricted Florida medical license or eligibility
  • Experienced in pediatric anesthesia: general, regional, and local anesthesia
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Flexible with rotating schedules, including on-call, weekends, and holidays
