DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Join the Residential, Retail and Supply Chain Services (RRSS) team at UC San Diego, a dynamic and innovative campus department dedicated to delivering exceptional service to the university community. As a valued RRSS team member, you will be contributing to a broad and complex organization consisting of five key units: Housing, Dining and Hospitality (HDH), Integrated Procure-to-Pay Solutions (IPPS), the UC San Diego Bookstore, Triton Print & Digital Media, and the Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC). As a member of the HDH team, you will be part of a self-funded unit with over 900 staff employees, 1,000 student employees, and an annual operating budget of $250 million, providing housing and dining services to over 20,000 students, faculty, staff, and their families. POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Storekeeper will assist with data entry of part numbers, stock and receipts into Maximo inventory system. Responsible for (monthly or quarterly) inventory count of all satellite shops on campus, records and delivers reports for data entry. Assists with Year End parts count and reporting. Helps develop and maintain organization of satellite shops. Maintains and distributes stock. Assists with pick up of excess equipment and supplies from departments, identifies, tags and logs equipment. Assists in the movement of items and processes related documentation. Arranges to pick up deliveries from vendors as needed. Assists with research of parts requested by satellite shops; files purchasing and operational paperwork. Ensures that outgoing Marketplace orders are scanned before being loaded up for delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with invoices, invoice terms, purchase orders, packing lists and freight documents, inventory transfer manifests with ability to reconcile packing lists to invoices, purchases orders, and merchandise.

  • Ability to handle and process large quantities of merchandise and perform heavy manual labor.

  • Mathematical skills to perform calculations using percentages and decimals and ability to recognize errors and/or discrepancies.

  • Ability to drive vehicles for pick-ups and/or deliveries, maintain a valid California driver's license and safe driving record.

  • Demonstrated ability to keep accurate orderly files and records. Attention to detail and accuracy of numbers and calculations.

  • Experience in using personal computers and standard office software applications with ability to learn and use computerized inventory systems.

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy cartons. Must be able to climb ladders, crawl, stoop, kneel, squat and stand for prolonged periods of time.

  • Ability to communicate and interact clearly and knowledgeably with all levels of customers, delivering excellent customer service.

  • Ability to safely and properly operate standard warehouse equipment such as electronic and manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and carts.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

A. Required to lift and move heavy objects.

B. Required to work overtime as needed including call back.

C. Required to hold valid driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $55,687 - $73,498 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $26.67 - $35.20

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
