Work Schedule:

100% FTE. Day Shift. Monday - Friday 8AM - 4:30PM. You will work at the Administrative Office Building, with the opportunity to work remotely.

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician Specialist to:

  • Provide multi-faceted support to pharmacists and clinic staff within the UW Health Medication Management Clinic.
  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments while ensuring timely follow-up and continuity of care.
  • Triage patient phone calls and respond to MyChart messages to support patient needs and escalate clinical concerns when appropriate.
  • Assist patients with medication access by conducting benefit investigations, navigating insurance barriers, and authorizing refills under established protocols.
  • Be a strong team player, highly detail-oriented, and a critical thinker who easily prioritizes work and manages time within a busy work environment.
  • Work a great schedule with no weekends or holidays!

Qualifications

  • No minimum education Required
  • Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program Preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred

Work Experience

  • 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician, completion of accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program, or completion of second year of pharmacy school. Required

Licenses & Certifications

  • Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Registration Upon Hire Required
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician Preferred
