TheGuest Service Representative Provides customer service to guests, ensuring a welcoming experience. Manages front desk activities, coordinating with staff and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Engages with residents, visitors, and potential job candidates to deliver information and assistance, contributing to a positive community atmosphere. Shift: FT/Days Education: High school graduate or equivalent required Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Welcomes visitors, guests, and patients at the entry area, creating an inviting atmosphere.
- Contacts relevant healthcare staff to meet with patients, families, or visitors, ensuring appropriate wait times.
- Answers incoming calls, using the appropriate healthcare system greeting and identification.
- Ensures patients and visitors are issued identification bracelets upon arrival.
- Maintains an organized front desk and entry area, manages lobby piano music, and ensures the lobby areas are clean and free of spills or other safety hazards.
- Ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, including the use of personal protective equipment and emergency protocols.
- Participates in team meetings, reviews and updates daily logs and lists, and demonstrates commitment to serving patients and guests.
- Work in collaboration with Security to report/escalate any safety concerns through the proper channels.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Awareness of cultural differences with the ability to accommodate each guest.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy. Develops and maintains working relationships with coworkers and providers and other agencies.
- Receives and provides information as necessary while complying with policies and regulations (e.g. HIPPA).
- Addresses the public in a cheerful customer service-focused manner.
- Demonstrates competency in managing difficult conversations.
- Navigate rapidly changing situations, from evolving patient needs to technological advancements, by remaining flexible, continuously learning, embracing new challenges, and quickly recovering from setbacks.
- Addresses problems that are routine, somewhat repetitive, and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures and by identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Makes decisions based on specific instructions, standard practices, and established procedures, which generally require little or no supervision.
