Position Overview
The ideal candidate will be an energetic, customer service-oriented individual with a passion for technology and helping others. This role provides hands-on experience supporting end users in both office and manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will develop technical troubleshooting skills while learning how enterprise IT services support business operations across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for desktop, laptop, mobile device, and printer-related issues.
- Respond to support requests submitted through the IT service management system.
- Assist with deployment, imaging, and configuration of Windows computers and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot common hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Assist with user account administration including password resets, access requests, and onboarding activities.
- Document incidents, requests, resolutions, and technical procedures.
- Set up and maintain conference room technology and collaboration devices.
- Assist with inventory management, asset tracking, and equipment lifecycle activities.
- Participate in IT projects focused on process improvement, automation, and user experience enhancements.
- Work with a sense of urgency to remove roadblocks and provide excellent customer service.
- Learn and follow IT security, data protection, and acceptable use policies.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Business Information Systems, or related field.
- Strong interest in IT support, customer service, and technology troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Well organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Customer-focused mindset with a positive attitude.
- Energetic, inquisitive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
- Collaborative team-first mentality and strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience troubleshooting personal computers or mobile devices.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Intune, or ticketing systems.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Participation in technology clubs, coursework, or personal technology projects.
