2023 Intellectual Property Summer Associate
Lewis Roca provides a full spectrum of intellectual property services to local, regional, national and international clients. Our IP Group is looking to hire 2L students for its 2023 Summer Program with technical backgrounds in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics and those with a Ph.D. degree in any science/engineering field that qualify students to take the Patent Bar Exam, and who also have a demonstrated commitment to pursuing an Intellectual Property practice. Prior industry, patent prosecution experience and patent registration number is a plus. The factors we consider in evaluating law students include, but are not limited to, previous work experience, undergraduate, graduate (if applicable) and law school performance, journal experience, extracurricular activities, professionalism, and contributions to the community. We typically hire students with excellent writing skills, well-rounded life experiences, and a demonstrated commitment to outstanding personal and academic achievement. We also strongly value diversity, character, work ethic, creativity, leadership, and the drive to learn and excel.
Though each of us at Lewis Roca may have a different background, practice, lifestyle, and point of view, we share a commitment to providing excellent legal services to our clients in a collegial atmosphere. Our summer program offers real, not make-work, assignments and affords an opportunity for us to get to know each other, both professionally and socially. We look forward to telling you more about where we came from, how we got here, and why we stay. We invite you to work in an environment where commitment to quality and community is the keystone to success.
If our sophisticated intellectual property practice and real-work summer program experience sounds appealing, we encourage you to submit your resume, cover letter, law school and undergrad transcripts, and a writing sample.
