Job Summary:

Provides consultative leadership to designated business, functional organization and/or geography to drive business success through people development. Responsible for implementation, design, and administration of high-value, quality human resources programs, practices and procedures, often encompassing several areas of human resources including employee relations, talent acquisition, talent management, compensation, benefits, and training, etc.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Consults with management to define and execute HR initiatives in support of business strategy.
  • Provides support to business/functional leaders in the areas of workforce planning and assessment.
  • Serves as a business partner, change agent, and may serve as a member of the line leadership staff.
  • Ability to partner with Center of Excellence (COE) consultants and Service Delivery Center (SDC) resources to provide advanced consulting and support in talent acquisition and management, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, compensation, and benefits.
  • Engage with COE HR functions to collaboratively implement HR programs and policies.
  • Participates in or leads HR projects.
  • Analyzes business challenges and HR programs to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Participates in roll-outs of company-wide HR initiatives.
  • Manages escalations and dispute resolutions through company programs and policies.
  • Applies governmental regulations to the development of HR programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Level Specifications:

  • Extensive knowledge and application of principles, theories and concepts. Complete knowledge of all job functions and the broad industry best practices, techniques and standards.
  • Develops solutions to complex problems where analysis of situations and/or data requires in-depth evaluation of variables. Determine best approach to achieve results and provide suggestions to improve policies and procedures.
  • Work is performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Work may be reviewed at a high-level.
  • May represent the organization as a primary contact on assignments and/or projects. Interacts with senior professionals and management and frequently coordinates work between departments or organizations.
  • Actions may impact the organization. Failure to accomplish work will result in the inability to reach crucial organizational goals. Erroneous decisions may have a prolonged effect resulting in the expenditure of substantial resources.

Work Experience:

  • Typically 5+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.

Education and Certification(s):

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

  • SPHR preferred (in U.S.)
