Senior Accountant

3Play Media is a rapidly growing, profitable technology company with a startup culture making a huge impact on the way people consume online media. We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join and help build the Finance team to support our growth and increasingly complex operations. 3Play Media offers the unique opportunity to work in a company that offers both a startup-minded size and culture while being robustly backed by a steady stream of customers and projects. Every day, our system processes hundreds of hours of video content, improving and expanding the way people consume online media and making more of the web's video content accessible.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for capturing accounting data and ensuring a high level of accuracy and accountability in our financial records. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The Senior Accountant's responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. This will include having a significant role in the month-end close process, and supporting continued growth and improvements to business processes. We're looking to add someone to the team who has a solid working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), strong financial analysis skills, is highly organized, and is eager to be part of a quickly growing and evolving company. The role will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will afford the candidate the opportunity to work directly with the CFO and other members of senior management.

• Play a significant role in the month-end financial statement close process for all locations, including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations, and intercompany reconciliations,
• Prepare the consolidated month-end financial reporting package and various financial analyses for review with Senior Director of Finance and the CFO
• Propose and drive process improvements around the month end close, financial reporting, and other business cycles
• Support ERP integrations and consolidation of business processes for acquired businesses
• Research and analyze data to answer both internal and external accounting and financial questions from various stakeholders
• Ensure the company is applying new accounting standards appropriately and in compliance with GAAP
• Support the annual audit, working closely with the external auditors
• Assist in various special projects as the need arises

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 3+ years public or private accounting experience, CPA is a plus
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus
• Proactive and hardworking with a strong desire to succeed
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
• Detail oriented and organized
• Strong critical thinking, communication and interpersonal skills
• Great team player that works well within and outside of the finance department
