As an intern, you will gain valuable work experience while developing your skills and establishing a track record to set you up for a potential full-time position after graduation. During the course of your internship, you will take part in an exciting lineup of intern events and engage in meaningful projects that significantly impact the success of our businesses. Your Day Design, develop, code and test software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products; revise and refine as required Participate in agile development of project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, testing and ongoing support of systems Recommend modifications to processes and procedures, and contribute to best practices, architecture, and implementations Implement, and maintain monitoring to provide complete transparency to application and system state, history, and trends You Must Have Actively pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related major, and strong record of academic achievement Knowledge of software engineering processes, tools, test driven development, algorithms and data structure Programming proficiency in a language, preferably Java, GO, C++ or Node.js Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts, large-scale software architecture, networking and distributed systems, and UNIX/Linux environments Experience in one or many of the following is a plus: Large-scale, large-user base website development experience Database/SQL knowledge Internship experience at a tech company Yahoo is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. The compensation for this position ranges from $45,760.00 - $135,200.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
