Job Summary:

The ideal candidate is an experienced SAP Functional Lead that has led IT projects involving SAP applications by leveraging their SAP functional skills to develop solutions.

Provides SAP functional expertise usually as a Senior member of a project team, in the analysis, design and configuration of SAP systems. Applies broad SAP functional knowledge of various modules to design and configure SAP modules to meet requirements and integrations for new and existing SAP systems; accurately anticipates organizational impact, understands the procedures and expected system performance associated with the introduction of new technologies; and seeks ways to collaborate with other IS colleagues to facilitate systems integration and transitions. Oversees SAP solutions from concept to implementation using SAP knowledge in a multi-tier SAP landscape. Has responsibility for SAP functional solutions project and regularly audits the progress of less experienced team members. Leads team members by providing direction on the SAP modules and configuration of new or existing SAP systems.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Lead SAP S/4HANA Functional Manager that will support the implementation of SAP S/4 HANA. Duties include but may not be limited to:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into functional specifications for SAP systems and perform Requirements Gathering.
    Create detailed documentation such as functional specifications, business process documents, test scripts, and user manuals to support system implementation and maintenance.
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure that SAP solutions meet business requirements. Identify and resolve issues during testing and collaborate with technical teams for resolution.
  • Conduct user training sessions to familiarize stakeholders with new SAP functionalities and processes. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve system-related issues.
  • Good knowledge of SAP modules relevant various business domains (e.g., R2R, OTC, EWM). Understanding of SAP best practices, data structures.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and industry-specific requirements. Ability to analyze business needs and align them with SAP functionalities to optimize processes.
  • Ability to analyze complex business scenarios, identify gaps, and propose effective solutions using SAP functionality. Strong problem-solving skills to resolve system-related issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to gather requirements, document specifications, and facilitate effective collaboration with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest SAP technologies, trends, and best practices. Desire to enhance skills through training and certifications.
  • Experience in S/4 HANA modules along with knowledge of interface between S/4 and other applications.

Develops budgets, schedules and performance standards for one or more departments. Responsible for resources and policy formation in area of responsibility.
  • Assignments are defined in the form of long-term objectives. Decisions are guided by resource availability, functional objectives and independent judgment.
  • Collaborates frequently with internal and/or external management. Leads meetings and briefings for internal and/or external representatives. Often coordinates efforts between functional areas and/or members of an extended assignment/project team.
  • Decisions likely have extended impact on the outcomes of multiple departments or teams. Erroneous decisions or recommendations will likely result in critical delays and/or modifications to projects and/or operations; causing substantial expenditure of additional time, people and/or financial resources, and jeopardize future business activity.

Work Experience:

  • Typically 8+ years including 3+ years of management experience

Education and Certification(s):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
