Determining the means and methods to be used in accomplishing assigned tasks and securing appropriate materials, supplies, and equipment from stock and with proper approval of suppliers is also a job duty of the HVAC Technician. Another responsibility of the HVAC Technician is to install, maintain, repair, overhaul, and calibrate all types of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment including pumps, boilers, burners, temperature controls, thermostats, air conditioning and ventilating units, condensers, fans, evaporators, controls, related electrical apparatus and smoke and fire detecting and damping systems. Requirements: A High School Diploma or Equivalent Maryland Class C driver's license Experience: Four years of HVAC Apprenticeship experience or 10 years of relevant work experience required Shift: Dayshift, 40 hours per week , Full Time On-call work required Starting pay: $35.38 per hour Work Location: Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, 4940 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21224 Johns Hopkins Health System and its affiliates are Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employers.
