Position title: Pediatric Sleep Medicine Physician Salary range:
The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $160,000 - $225,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. The Section of Sleep Medicine in the Division of Respiratory Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics (http://www.pediatrics.ucsd.edu) at UC San Diego (UCSD) and Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego (RCHSD) is currently recruiting Sleep Medicine Physicians. Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego is a nonprofit, 511-bed pediatric care facility dedicated to excellence in care, research, and teaching. It is the only hospital in the San Diego area dedicated exclusively to pediatric health care and the region's only designated pediatric trauma center. The Rady Children's Hospital for Healthy Sleep is an AASM-certified Sleep Testing Facility. The Division's nationally-ranked clinical program is expanding and growing with inpatient, outpatient, and consulting services at RCHSD and UCSD Medical Center, participation in multidisciplinary clinics, and delivery of care at regional satellite programs. As a Sleep Medicine Physician, the successful candidates will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of various sleep disorders and improving patients' quality of life by identifying and managing sleep-related conditions. The successful candidates will also be expected to participate or lead in teaching, mentoring, research, or service toward building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment. The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience. Candidates must have an MD or equivalent or an MD/PhD in health-related fields. Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California. Candidates must also be board-certified or board-eligible in the subspecialty of Sleep Medicine. Preferred qualifications
