Overview

Private Duty LPN - Full-Time, One-on-One Care

Location: Maryville, TN
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7 AM - 5 PM

Patient: Pediatric male

Overview:
Join our team as a dedicated Private Duty LPN to provide exceptional care for a 7-year-old male patient in Maryville. This role offers the opportunity to work one-on-one, making a meaningful impact in a home setting while also accompanying the patient to school during the week. Key Responsibilities:

    Administer and manage G-tube feedings.
  • Provide total care, including personal hygiene and mobility assistance.
  • Support and monitor patient throughout the school day.
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure a safe and conducive environment for the patient.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.

Requirements:

  • Current LPN license in the state of Tennessee.
  • Experience with G-tube care preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and provide attentive, quality care.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Perform selected nursing procedures within the scope of LPN practice
  • Provide patient and family teaching according to plan outlined by the RN
  • Monitor patient's vital signs and make specific measurements and observations
  • Monitor and record intake and output. Report significant changes immediately
  • Observe, assess and record patient's physical and mental condition and reports any changes
  • Administer medications as instructed and as ordered by the physician and instructed by the RN and document the patient's file accordingly
  • Attend and participate in multi-disciplinary patient case conferences, staff meetings and in-service education programs as assigned


Qualifications

  • Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN license in good standing
  • Previous private duty, home health, hospice, hospital or skilled nursing experience preferred
  • Active CPR certification
  • Familiarity with electronic health records
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
