Job Summary

Under Physician supervision, the Physician Assistant and/or Nurse Practitioner may assume primary responsibility in their respective specialty area according to federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. Responsible for management of selected at risk or complex patients and aggregate patient populations in collaboration with physicians, nurses and other Healthcare team members. Must demonstrate the knowledge, critical thinking and skills to plan, coordinate and provide care on a continuing basis.

Job Description

Monument Health is seeking a full-time nocturnal APP to work at an established practice in Rapid City, SD. In this role, you will work 14-hour overnight shifts covering the inpatient cardiology service. This team will be made up of 3 nocturnal APPs who will coordinate their schedules to provide nocturnal coverage each day of the month. We are looking for motivated team members with outstanding patient care and communication skills. Join a growing team with 5 interventional cardiologists and 7 non-interventional cardiologists. The nocturnal APP will be fully supported by an on-call non-interventional cardiologist each night. The nocturnal APP team will join a robust team of advanced practice providers that specialize in cardiology, vascular medicine, electrophysiology, structural heart disease, and heart failure. The cardiology group has an established governance structure to include representation at program operational meetings. Experience is preferred but training for new graduates will be considered.

Required:
In South Dakota Certifications - Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) - South Dakota Board of Nursing orPhysician Assistant (PA) - South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners

Preferred:

Experience - 1+ years of Clinical Experience; 1+ years of Healthcare Experience

Physical Requirements:
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
