The Enterprise Applications Manager will be responsible for managing the implementation, operability, health, maintenance and disaster recovery of the credit union's financial processing systems, including core banking and core supporting applications, collectively referred to as the 'core'. This role will manage a team of application support professionals to ensure the stability, scalability, and security of the company's on-premises and cloud-based applications. Responsibilities include assisting with strategic planning, vendor management, and continuous optimization of on-premises and cloud applications aligned with business objectives. The manager must stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation and efficiency within the organization. Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills are essential for effectively collaborating with various stakeholders and ensuring the successful delivery of application services.

NORMAL DAY-TO-DAY WORK

1. Evaluate new applications, systems software, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications ensuring alignment to organizational objectives and business unit needs.

2. Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of on-premises and cloud-based enterprise applications and their upgrades to ensure high availability and performance.

3. Collaborate with business and business system analyst teams to develop technical solutions for applications and their environments that meet business and technical requirements during all lifecycle phases.

4. Manage a team of IT application support professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.

5. Monitor and maintain availability, performance, security, and cost-efficiency of application environments.

6. Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements and internal policies, procedures and operational guidelines.

7. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate new technologies for potential implementation.

8. Ensure effective incident response and problem resolution for various application issues within SLAs.

9. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating relevant advancements into the organization's on-premises and cloud application strategies.

10. Maintain comprehensive documentation for supported application environments, including configurations, processes, and procedures.

11. Develop and manage the budget for application services, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.

12. Provide training and development opportunities for the applications support team to enhance their skills and knowledge in core banking, core supporting and related applications.

13. Identify and mitigate risks associated with the organization's application environments, including disaster recovery, and cloud application services. Develop and maintain strategies for on-premises and cloud applications environments and their disaster recovery in partnership with other technology areas and business stakeholders. Ensure business continuity for the credit union's financial processing systems and related application services.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Here are a few skills you MUST have to be qualified for this position.

1. Minimum 7-9 years Information Technology experience, including managing, designing, and deploying medium to large scale on-premises and cloud applications including core banking line of business applications; including 1-3 years of management experience.

2. Proven experience in managing application environments with strong understanding of both on-premises and cloud environments.

3. Extensive knowledge of core banking platforms such as Fiserv DNA and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including Software-as-a Service (SaaS) offerings.

4. Experience with virtualization technologies, databases, n-tier application network architecture including HA and load balancing.

5. Strong technical leadership and team management skills, preferably in the financial industry or credit union with experience in leading and mentoring IT professionals.

6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

7. Strong ITSM and project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and oversee IT projects and changes within scope, budget, and timeline.

8. Familiarity with SDLC, ITSM, IT operations and security best practices and regulatory compliance requirements.

9. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and convey technical information to non-technical audiences.

10. Ability to function in a Consumer business office environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, copier, telephone, etc.

11. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (file boxes, computer).

12. Travel required on occasion.

1. Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

2. Familiarity with Fiserv DNA core application stack, Automic, Velocity, Nautilus OnBase ECM, Compliance One, PCFS, t-Magic, Okta, DUO, Mimecast, Thycotic.
